The only useable values I got from Inspect.exe for the item listed as "New Music" are Name:New Music, ControlType:TextControl, ProcessId:3680, and a list of Ancestors. I am trying to specify and select a playlist on the left side panel of the Spotify windows app which contains saved playlists, then select play on any random song from the playlist window that pops up on the right.I tried to click on a playlist name called 'New Music' on the left panel by using the following code, which is still incomplete as I need another argument to specifically reference the playlist I need: app.window(control_type='TextControl').click() from pywinauto.application import Application I can open the Spotify app using the code below but thats about how far I go. The Spotify app window doesnt have a title and I dont know how to create the window specification object in this situation,or to control anything in spotify. Though we have no idea about the performance side of things yet.Is there a way to control the Spotify desktop app using pywinauto? Tutorials only show examples with simple apps like Notepad which have windows with titles. It is still a work in progress though, for the most part, but it does still look quite presentable. Twitter user and software developer Guilherme Roussi is working on a Spotify-like app for Windows 11 with the Windows 11 fluent design in mind, and this could be something right up the alley of those that are fond of the Windows 11 approach, at least in terms of looks. Some could feel that the aesthetics do not go well with the overall Windows 11 theme. While for those that love and enjoy Spotify this shouldn't be an issue, others may not really like the service, or perhaps do not prefer the color scheme of Spotify and the way it looks. The same was happening on Windows 10 as well, but the case is a lot more prevalent on Windows 11 it seems. Interestingly, the Spotify app would even install itself on Windows 11 without any user input, according to reports online. It can be downloaded from the official website or from Microsoft Store. Spotify, which is one of the most popular online music streaming utilities, is available as an app on Windows 10 and Windows 11.
